Who Is Gert Lush Designs?

I am Sharon Fielding, creator of all things ‘Lush’ at Gert Lush Designs.

Originally from Sussex I moved to Bristol in 2002 to live with my partner who introduced me to the local phrase ‘Gert Lush’ which instantly amused me. When thinking of a company name it seemed the natural choice as everything I produce is handmade in Bristol and I work hard to ensure that all my products are as 'Gert Lush' as possible.

I have been creative for most of my life and enjoy a diverse range of creative activities some of which are represented here and available to buy. I started Gert Lush Designs as a business in 2011. I had challenged myself to a 365 day project where I had to make something creative every day for 365 days. I had several friends who had taken on this challenge with photography but I decided to push it a little further.

I only missed 11 days on the challenge but at the end of that year making things had become an integral part of my life. The products I made were proving to be very popular so I tried my hand at selling them and here we are today.....

I was made redundant from my day job, working as an office manager & face painter, in 2013 so I decided to take the plunge at turning this into a full time income. I am loving being able to earn money from my own creations. This is very much a business for me rather than a hobby. I pride myself on well made good quality products and excellent  customer service

I am very happy to accept orders from overseas customers. Please email me to let me know where you are based and which products you would like to buy and then I can get back in touch to confirm how much overseas postage will be before issuing you an invoice.

Jewellery

I offer a diverse selection of products. My main focus has always been jewellery.

I prefer to concentrate on wirework and I am now combining this with my own fused glass pieces to bring you unique eye catching jewellery with a difference.

Commisions are very much welcomed!

Textiles

I also enjoy working with textiles, from making simple bags with selective bought fabrics (I have an eye for fun and funky fabrics) plus purses and little funky bird ornaments.

I also create my own batik fabrics for unique one off bags and create unique wall art using needle felting and wet felting.

ArtWork

My final creative interest represented on this site is artwork in the form of intricate doodles hand drawn in pen and paintings in acrylics and watercolours.

All of these are available to buy in the form of greetings cards and can also be printed onto cotton shopping bags.
